Services I offer
Circle of Security (COSP)
At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
Using the COSP™ model developed by the Circle of Security originators, I work with parents and caregivers to help them to:
- Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs
- Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
- Enhance the development of their child’s self esteem
- Develop and honour the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure
COSP™ is run over eight two-hour sessions, I include a further one-hour session before and after the course. The pre session will prepare you for the course I find out learning styles and listen to any anxieties. The post session will see how you have embedded any of the learning and to support where this can happen should it prove difficult.
I deliver the COSP™ to groups couples and individuals my work includes working privately and with local authorities. People do COSP™ for a range of reasons including
Wanting to have a deeper understanding of their parenting/children
Increase the familial bonds and connections
Are in the process of preparing for an adoption
- Are preparing to become a step / blended family
- Are going through legal separation / divorce
- A requirement for families going through care proceedings
- Re/Establishing after experiencing a mental health crisis including low mood, depression, postnatal depression. Please note you cannot be in crisis while working through COSP™.
I love delivering the COSP as it is therapy and attachment based and works solely with parents/carers helping to understand their children’s and their own experience of being parented. I will support you to understand your experience which is central to the programme and helps to enable you to grow with your child/ren. COSP focuses on the attachment bond and communication in the parent child relationship the program supports parents to understand this lifelong continuum. We can all be successful in how we raise our children, and we all have a way that is unique to us.

Systemic Family Coaching
This is dynamic engagement where I join your family in a way that supports change that comes from you and works for you. The support is strategic, solution focused and a mix of
• Coaching the family/you through enactment of the difficulties you have in the home and relationships.
• Being together to discuss solutions to ongoing difficulties.
• Working together to form a family charter of how you would like to be and live as a family.
• Learning to understand and regulate emotion individually and as a family
The aim of this systemic family coaching is to support your family to work as a well-functioning team and help you to exert your parental power and responsibility in an appropriate way. While supporting your children to move through their own development safely appropriately and happily.
For this approach to be effective there is a need for a minimum of six one-hour sessions. This allows us to build rapport and trust so we can work in a collaborative way on the issues and concerns that are getting in your way.
By the end of the coaching as a family you will have produced a Family Book that includes who you are, your charter and way of doing and seeing things. Your family book can include pictures drawings and writing whatever you want as a group. The aim of it is to support sustainable change that works for you.
Systemic Family Therapy
These therapeutic sessions enables family members to express and explore difficult relationships thoughts and emotions safely. I will support your family to understand each other’s experiences and views and appreciate each other’s needs. All families have strengths and as your therapist I will support you to build on them.
