You may be facing a crisis or a loss, struggling with the impact of trauma or navigating difficult relationships. Maybe you feel things aren’t quite right in your life and don’t know how to move forward. These challenges can leave us feeling isolated, stuck and overwhelmed. I offer a warm and supportive space where you can speak openly and feel heard and understood. I will be alongside you with empathy and openness to help you make sense of your difficulties and make meaningful changes in your life.
Therapy with Noemi
My approach
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. My practice is rooted in psychodynamic theory, meaning I explore how past experiences influence how we feel about ourselves and others. Often, we repeat old ways of relating and coping which no longer serve us and lead to pain and disconnection. Therapy can help you reflect on these patterns and make choices with more freedom and clarity. Above all, I provide a relationship where all aspects of yourself are seen and valued, helping you connect with yourself and feel more comfortable in who you are.
Areas of particular interest and experience
I have worked with clients presenting with a range of emotional issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and bereavement, among others.
I have a particular interest and experience in working with adult survivors of childhood abuse. My practice is trauma-informed, acknowledging how adversity in many forms can affect both the mind and body, and placing safety and collaboration at the heart of therapy. Alongside private practice, I also volunteer at a bereavement counselling service.
Originally from Belgium, I have lived in the UK for 20 years. I’m sensitive to the challenges of navigating different cultures, identities and languages, and have worked with clients from a range of backgrounds. I offer sessions in French for clients who would like to express themselves in their native language.
Qualifications
I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and abide by both organisations’ codes of ethics.
Fees
The fee is £75 per 50-minute session. I may be able to offer concessionary rates for clients on low income.
