Welcome

As a Gestalt Therapist, my focus is on the present moment—while we won’t ignore your past, we’ll explore how it affects your present experience. My approach balances acknowledgment of life’s difficulties with a curiosity about what brings you joy, meaning, and a sense of possibility. We’ll move at your pace, gently uncovering both the challenges you’re facing and your inner resources and strengths.

I work with adults, experiencing stress, anxiety and work-related pressures. Neurodivergence, understanding ADHD and Autism. Parenting support including parent carer challenges. Trauma, processing experiences of abuse and working with shame. Bereavement and grief support.

Gestalt Therapy with Gina

I work in a trauma-responsive way, with sensitivity to how emotional experiences are stored and expressed in the body. Everyone processes trauma and stress differently, and I aim to support your individual experience with compassion and care. My approach recognises that healing happens at your own pace and in your own way.

I offer an initial free 20-minute video call, where we can explore what brings you to therapy and whether we might be a good fit to work together.  If we decide to continue, we can arrange an in-person session. This gives you a chance to get a feel for the environment and for us to begin exploring your needs in more depth. Together, we can develop a plan that supports you and aligns with your purpose for therapy. Or you can choose to have sessions online. I work on a weekly basis for short or long-term work, initially booking 6 sessions with regular reviews to see how therapy is going for you and an opportunity to discuss our work together.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 25 years working in factual entertainment television production. This experience gives me first hand understanding of the stress and complexity of high-pressure environments and the emotional toll they can take. It was also creative work that allowed me to collaborate with remarkable people.

As a white woman from a working-class background, I bring awareness of how systemic oppression—such as class, race, ableism and other intersecting forms of inequality—can shape our sense of self, safety, and belonging. I also recognise my current position affords me certain privileges, and I remain committed to reflecting on how these dynamics show up in and beyond the therapy space. As a therapist who aims to be anti-oppressive and neuroaffirming, this is an ongoing process.

My Experience & Training

I trained at the Gestalt Centre in London, completing both my certificate and diploma (PGdip) in counselling psychotherapy. My clinical experience includes working with clients at the mental health charity Mind and through the Gestalt Centre’s therapy scheme. I hold a BA (Hons) in Media and Culture from Sussex University.

Currently, I work in private practice alongside part-time work for a charity supporting families of children with complex physical and neurological needs. Both professionally and personally, I have a deep understanding of the joys, challenges, and responsibility that comes with caring for a family member with additional needs. This lived experience informs my compassionate approach to supporting others.
