Imagine what it would be like to give yourself the space to pause, connect more deeply with your world, understand it, and then see if something new can emerge.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s common to feel lonely or disconnected, even when surrounded by others. Many people grapple with the pain of struggling to express their feelings openly, often feeling misunderstood or different. Everything can feel complicated and overwhelming, leaving you yearning for clarity and connection.

In our therapy sessions, we will journey together to uncover the essence of your unique experiences. We will identify the patterns that no longer serve you and work towards fostering greater trust in yourself, more freedom of choice, and more meaningful connections with others. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Psychotherapy with Gabija

My approach

There is no set agenda for how therapy should go; together, we will discover a way that suits you best.

My approach is integrative and is called relational transactional analysis. This approach helps uncover recurring patterns and encourages mindfulness during our sessions. I also focus on the importance of therapeutic relationships.

I practice with cultural, social, and political awareness, recognising that our mental health is shaped by the world around us.

My approach is further enriched by my interests in music, visual art, social activism, meditation, and movement, all of which influence my practice as a therapist.

Areas of particular interest and experience

I have worked with a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges. My specific interests include complex relationships, life transitions, and themes of belonging, diversity, cultural duality, self-esteem, fear, and anxiety. I also welcome people who may not be sure about what they want to focus on in therapy but who want to feel better.

I’m eager to hear about your unique challenges and needs.

Working together

Everyone deserves happiness, regardless of their background. I work one-on-one with adults.

I usually offer open-ended therapy, meaning the length of our sessions will depend on your needs.

Sessions typically last 50 minutes and occur at the same time each week. If you can’t commit to a weekly schedule, please reach out, and we can create a plan that works for you.

Please, check my website or enquire about the fees.

Psychotherapy Qualifications and Training

I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I also adhere to the ethical standards of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA) and the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA).

I hold an MSc in Counselling Studies from the University of Edinburgh and a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling with an Intersectional lens from the TA East London Institute.

Currently, alongside my private practice, I provide therapy and conduct assessments for a charity organization called Spiral Holistic Therapy Centre. For the past three years, I have also provided coaching sessions for NHS mental health services. Before transitioning into therapy, I gained valuable experience working as a teacher in a primary school.
