Hello, I’m Fabienne
My offering as a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist is rooted in compassion, creativity and soul.
Here, all parts of you are honoured and we follow your natural pace and what is ready to emerge. Sessions are an invitation to return to yourself through gentle enquiry and reconnection with your body, emotions, and intuition.
I work with those who long to feel rooted in their authentic sense of self and wholeness. To walk alongside you as you remember your truest way of being is something I hold with great care and deep respect.
Working with Fabienne
My intention as your therapist is to support you in finding more nourishing and authentic ways of being with yourself. I offer ground for you to reclaim parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath layers of shame, expectation and comparison. Including parts that may have been silenced or abandoned in the pace of life and survival.
Together we tend to the places that feel tangled, wounded or restricted, creating space for clarity and ease to emerge over time. Sessions are a place where truth can be spoken without judgement, emotions can be expressed and the body can reconnect to its deep wisdom. I do not believe you are here to be fixed, but to be witnessed, respected and met in your authenticity. I will be beside you, as you discover how to move through life with more self-trust and self-confidence, and as you begin the courageous act of rediscovering who you are.
My Approach
My approach draws from my training in humanistic psychotherapy alongside my experience in creative and healing arts practices. I work in an integrative way, weaving these strands together to allow sessions to unfold in a way that recognises and honours all parts of you.
During sessions we move at your pace. There is no expectation to know what to say or that what you bring needs to be significant or articulate. Sessions may include: exploring emotions that call for tenderness and understanding, grounding into body and breath for nervous system support, developing insight into relationships, identity, and belonging, or working with expression and creative energy as well as gently tending to wishes, hopes and dreams.
Our work together is centred on you, while being rooted in collaboration, soulful exploration and loving presence.
Themes I Work With
The people I work with are often overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about who they are beneath expectations, roles or comparison. Themes may include anxiety, depression, burnout, identity, belonging, relationships, blocks around expression, creativity or sensuality, understanding neuro-diversity, grief, and periods of transition or change.
Many people I meet carry a deep sense of being “too much” or “not enough.” They may hold dreams and ideas about the life they long to live without having had a place to speak them, honour them, or let them take root. I am particularly attuned to those who feel deeply, who may feel overstimulated by the world, or sense that parts of themselves have been buried or lost along the way. Our work is shaped by what matters most to you, with no agendas.
Working With Artists + Creatives
A specialist part of my work is with artists, musicians, writers, and creatives. Alongside the joy and aliveness creativity can bring, there can also be pressure, self-doubt, burnout, identity confusion, and a sense of being misunderstood or unseen.
I hold a space where both the person and the creative are welcome. This might include working with an inner critic, voice and expression, performance anxiety, perfectionism, comparison, or the emotional impact of working within creative industries. Our work together supports you to reconnect with your creativity as something living and nourishing, rather than something that depletes you or needs to be forced, judged or proven.
You don’t need to be actively producing or “successful” in your field to be respected. What I honour is your relationship to creativity, your grief or expressions around it, as well as the inner life that moves beneath it.
Respect + Inclusivity
This space is inclusive and respectful of all people. At the core of my work is a respect for all backgrounds, races, religions, sexualities, bodies and gender identities. I hold awareness of how social, cultural, and collective histories shape our inner and wider worlds, and I aim to meet each person with openness and respect for their lived experience.
Training & Qualifications
Creative Background
I have over fifteen years’ experience working as an artist, a songwriter for other artists and as part of the band Radiant Children. My creative background deeply informs how I listen, how I work with expression, and how I support others in finding their voice.
Psychotherapy Training
I completed four years of training as a humanistic psychotherapist at HOMA in the UK and I am a registered member of the BACP.
Healing Arts Experience
I am a qualified meditation coach and I have trained as a sound healing facilitator at Jeela + The Medicine of Sound, in Mexico.
Teaching & Mentoring
I work as a Visiting Songwriting Lecturer at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), teaching and supporting third year students in creative process, self-trust and artistic development.
Rites of Passage
I have undertaken a Vision Quest (Wild Vigil) held by Emma Rich of Earth Tongue honouring Indigenous rites of passage. This experience continues to inform my respect for ritual, nature-based ancestral practices, and intentional thresholds of change.
Practicalities + Exchange
Booking a Session
If you feel called to begin, you are invited to book an initial session. This is an opportunity for you to sense how I work and how it feels to be together in the space. After the initial session you are free to decide whether you would like to continue working together. If so, we then agree a rhythm of sessions that feels supportive for you and review our work together over time, ensuring it continues to meet your needs.
Practicalities
Our sessions are 60 minutes.
I offer sessions both online (zoom) and a limited amount in person at Homa, London.
Exchange
The exchange for individual therapy sessions is offered on a sliding scale of £90 – £110. I also hold a number of lower-cost spaces. If this is something that you currently need access to, please feel free to get in touch.
