Hello, I’m Fabienne
My offering as a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist is rooted in compassion, creativity and soul.
Sessions together are an invitation to return to yourself through compassionate enquiry and reconnection with your body, emotions, and intuition.
I work with those who long to feel rooted in their authentic sense of self and wholeness. To walk alongside you as you remember your truest way of being, is something I hold with great care and deep respect.
Working with Fabienne
The people I work with are often experiencing overwhelm, exhaustion, a sense of stuck-ness or loneliness. They may be grieving or uncertain about who they are beneath expectations, roles or comparison. Many people I meet carry a deep sense of being “too much” or “not enough.” They may hold dreams and ideas about the life they long to live without having had a place to speak them, honour them, or let them take root.
Therapy can be a regular place where we gently tend to whatever feels tangled, wounded, or restricted, allowing space for clarity and ease to develop over time. In our sessions, truth can be spoken without judgement, emotions have permission to be explored and the body has space to reconnect to its own intuitive wisdom. As your therapist I will walk alongside you with care and compassion, as you come back into deeper relationship with yourself and the life you want to live.
My Approach
My approach draws from my training in humanistic psychotherapy alongside my experience in creative and healing arts practices. I work in an integrative way, weaving these strands together to allow sessions to unfold in a way that recognises all parts of you.
During sessions we move at your pace. There is no expectation to know what to say or that what you bring needs to be significant or articulate, all is honoured here.
In sessions we may:
- Ground into the body for nervous system support.
- Explore emotions that call for tenderness and understanding.
- Develop insight into relationships, identity and belonging.
- Navigate life transitions and process grief around cycles ending or beginning.
Creative Coaching
A specialist part of my work is with artists, musicians, writers, and creatives. Alongside the joy and aliveness creativity can bring, I understand there can also be pressure, self-doubt, burnout, identity confusion and a sense of being misunderstood or unseen.
In coaching sessions both the person and the creative are welcome. This might include working with an inner critic, performance anxiety, perfectionism, comparison or the emotional impact of working within creative industries. Our work supports you to reconnect with your creativity as something living and nourishing, rather than something that depletes you or is to be forced, judged or proven. In a slightly different container to therapy sessions, creative coaching sessions are 1 hour or 90 minutes allowing for grounding and creative practices to be fully woven into exploration, expression and integration where necessary.
*You don’t need to be actively producing, creating or what you believe to be “successful” in your field to be recognised here. What I honour is your relationship to creativity, your grief or expressions around it, as well as the inner life that moves beneath it.
Respect + Inclusivity
This space is queer and POC-affirmative, and inclusive and respectful of all people. I hold awareness of how social, cultural, and collective histories shape our inner and wider worlds, and meet each person with openness and respect for their lived experience.
Qualifications + Experience
Creative Background
I have over fifteen years’ experience working as an artist/songwriter. My background informs how I listen, how I work with expression, and how I support others in finding their voice.
Psychotherapist
I completed four years of training as a humanistic psychotherapist at HOMA in the UK and I am a registered member of the BACP.
Healing Arts Facilitator
I am a qualified meditation coach and I have trained as a sound healing facilitator at Jeela + The Medicine of Sound, in Mexico.
Lecturer + Mentor
I work as a Visiting Songwriting Lecturer at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, teaching third year students in creative process, self-trust and artistic development.
Rites of Passage
I have undertaken a Vision Quest (Wild Vigil) held by Emma Rich of Earth Tongue honouring Indigenous rites of passage. This experience continues to inform my respect for ritual, nature-based ancestral practices, and intentional thresholds of change.
Practicalities
If you’d like to connect before deciding how to move forward, you’re warmly welcome to book a free introductory meeting. This can take place online or in person and offers an opportunity to sense how I work and how it feels to be together in the space. If you’d like to continue, we can then agree a rhythm of sessions that feels supportive for you.
Exchange
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and offered on a sliding scale of £80-£100 based on what is financially sustainable for you.
