Welcome
I’m a compassionate, curious and direct therapist with a strong belief that in working together and developing a relationship we can begin to make sense of your journey and begin to bring perspective and meaning to your life. I provide a warm, safe and supportive environment for each person to explore their difficulties and to share and express confusing, painful and overwhelming feelings. I have a deep belief that therapy can be life-changing and is an effective and confidential space in which to understand your feelings, past, patterns of behaviour and to explore new territories.

Psychotherapy with Anthoulla

How I work

I am an integrative therapist which means that I use a combination of theories and techniques that will help you to make sense of yourself and what is happening in your life.

I believe that, though challenging, therapy helps to navigate life struggles and bring patterns of behaviour and relational difficulties to light, enabling more self-awareness and connection with the world around us and in relationships. I believe that with reflection and expression you can get to know yourself better, enabling a stronger sense, purpose, belonging and fulfilment. I am interested in the existential life of people and therefore will look at what threatens a person’s existence or enhances it and what affects their connections to the world and other people. I am also curious about the boundaries that we have for ourselves and towards others, exploring our boundaries and changing them can help with relationships and making better decisions. Your therapy is an opportunity to explore all aspects of your life so that life doesn’t feel isolating and dangerous but is a place that allows you to flourish.

My Background and experience
I was born and educated in London and went on to run businesses and work as a consultant before training as a therapist. As a result, I understand what it is to feel different and live in a liminal space, and the stresses and strains that working in London and finding a work life balance involve.

I am a Qualified member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I have worked in different psychotherapy environments, including childhood trauma, acute loss, grief, loneliness, fear, shame, anger, and suicidal thoughts. I work with people from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds with varied and diverse problems and issues.
