I create a space where clients can be fully heard, explore issues whether related to past or present life experiences and deepen their understanding of those experiences. My practice incorporates a consideration of the social and cultural dynamics and narratives we are influenced by to gain further clarity and potential relief.

The aim is that this will facilitate a greater sense of choice and allow you to build better connections in your relationships with others and with yourself.

Psychotherapy with Amy

I work from an integrative approach which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic thinking and models such as Psychodynamic, Relational, Humanistic, Feminist and Body Psychotherapy. This is dependent on your needs and what you bring up in therapy.

I have experience in working with people who have brought many different issues to therapy including low self-esteem; anxiety; domestic abuse; relational trauma; exploring their sexuality; grief; life changes; trauma. I particularly welcome LGBTQ+ clients and clients exploring their identity.

Therapy together is not prescribed by a particular timeframe. I usually work on a long-term open-ended basis with an open dialogue between therapist and client that provides regular check-ins and moments for reflection or review.

Getting in touch

It’s important to find the right therapist for you, which is why I always encourage clients to explore their options and see who feels like the best fit.

Our first session together is charged at half the usual fee. It is an opportunity to see what it would be like working together, and whether we are a good fit.

I’m happy to offer a brief call to answer questions you may have.
