Welcome. I’m Izzy, a humanistic psychotherapist who believes lasting change starts when you feel truly understood.

I can help you untangle the patterns that keep you stuck, so you can deepen self-awareness, explore new ways of being, and create a life that feels authentic to you.

Therapy with Izzy

How I work:

There are many reasons why you might be seeking therapy. You may be feeling uneasy, disconnected, sad, anxious, or angry. Perhaps you’re going through a major life transition or are struggling to make a change. Maybe you feel lost, or have an “off” feeling you can’t quite name.

In therapy with me, you’ll find a calm, confidential space where you can speak freely without fear of judgement, and we can explore what’s happening together. My aim is to create a warm and accepting space for you to explore your feelings, experience, and behaviours, so you can gain greater self-understanding and self-acceptance.

I am a client-led and collaborative therapist. I believe you are the expert in your story, and my role is to walk beside you with curiosity and compassion. I work in a way that does not pathologise you or your identity – but honours you and your experiences as a whole.

As a therapist, I aim to meet you where you’re at – always working at your pace. I use a blend of tools from the Humanistic modalities. Our sessions will be talk based, and, depending on what you bring, it might include using art materials, Gestalt experiments, or somatic (body) exercises.

We’ll have regular check-ins on our work together, and if something doesn’t feel right, we’ll adjust. I work with individuals for both short-term and open-ended therapy.

Areas of particular interest and experience:

I often work with people who are experiencing relationship difficulties (whether friendships, romantic, family, or work) – struggling with communication issues, or repeating unsatisfying patterns. I work a lot with those who are in burnout, with people who’ve experienced loss, or are going through a major change (whether wanted or unwanted).

I have particular experience working with creativity and creative blocks – both in my therapy practice as well as my lived experience.

This list in no way includes everything we can work on together. If what you’re struggling with isn’t here, get in touch and we can talk about it.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirmative, and I work with clients of all genders and sexualities.

Qualifications:

I am a fully qualified Humanistic Psychotherapist. I received my Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapy and Counselling after completing an intensive experiential four-year course at Homa.

During my training I worked at The Stress Project in Finsbury Park, providing low-cost counselling to local residents.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and abide by their ethical framework.

Fees:
Sessions cost £80, and last for 50 minutes.
I offer some concession/low-cost places for those who need it.

Contact:

Choosing the right therapist is important. I offer a free introductory phone call to new clients, so we can talk about what you are looking for from therapy, and how we might work together.
