I’m a UKCP-registered psychotherapist specialising in relationships, working with couples and individuals in central London, Brighton and Hove and online. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to process your thoughts, deal with life’s challenges and express
your emotions, whether you’;re facing anxiety, depression, heartbreak or a relationship that feels stuck.

I work with people who want to understand the repeating patterns in their relationships, and with couples who want to improve their relationship or face its end. A better understanding of each other is the key to resolving conflict and rebuilding connection, and I help people get there.

Psychotherapy with Alice

Anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties are often closely connected. Our earliest relationships shape what we expect from love and from the world, and those expectations can quietly drive the patterns we repeat. Psychotherapy helps you spot the tensions and negative thought patterns holding you back. Together, we look at how you relate to yourself, to others and to the world, and where that is creating pain in your daily life.

We build a secure, confidential and trusting relationship, which gives you a safe place to face these difficulties. Through it, we build insight and develop coping strategies that hold up outside the therapy room. My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis and draws on

Emotionally Focused Therapy, neuroscience and evidence-based practice. The goals of our work are decided together in our initial session. We then focus on the challenges that stand between you and those goals.

How sessions work

Sessions are usually once a week for 50 minutes for individuals and 75 minutes for couples or groups.  I offer sessions face to face at our central London practice, in Kings Cross, or Online via zoom.

We can have an initial free 15-minute phone call to discuss the issues and decide whether we would like to work together. We will work at your pace, as dictated by your needs. I encourage a collaborative process.

Together, we work to process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings and focus on your untapped potential. Through this process, you will identify and draw on your inner resources to live a fuller, more satisfying life.

I understand it can be nerve racking to embark upon counselling or therapy – it takes courage to start.  I work ethically at your pace and believe that all relationships are built on mutual respect. My approach is tailored to the individual clients; couples, groups and individuals from all backgrounds and I affirm cultural and identity diversity.

Areas of particular interest and experience

I specialise in helping people see how they can better relate to themselves, other people (in their relationships) and holistically, to the rest of the world.

I have combined my experience of working in the Film & TV industry, across a wide range of diverse media productions, with my work as a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor to offer mental health support in the creative industries, as well as private counselling for individuals and couples who needs it.

Having worked in the creative sector. I understand the industry pitfalls, the unique highs and lows, that working in these uncertain ‘gig economies’ can create, for instance:

  • financial stress
  • psychological exhaustion
  • insecure working environments
  • communication problems
  • dealing with nepotism and narcissistic personality types
  • bullying
  • substance abuse
  • relationship difficulties
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • panic attacks
  • loss
  • grief
  • workaholism
  • imposter syndrome
  • self-esteem issues

In addition, I have experience working in the charity sector with infertility, miscarriage, trauma and bereavement at Citypregnancy.org.uk  and have undergone extensive male suicide training with HiSCharity.org.uk and starttheconversation.uk.
