Psychologist

Hello, I am a licensed psychologist who works with individuals both via telehealth and in my consulting room at Homa Therapy. I have experience working with people across the lifespan, including adults and young people, who experience a wide range of psychological difficulties, with particular expertise in eating disorders, body image concerns, and trauma, particularly non-recent childhood sexual abuse.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling distressed or overwhelmed, wanting to make sense of painful life experiences, explore patterns from the past, navigate a difficult period, or simply gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Whatever brings you to therapy, it is an opportunity to approach your experiences with curiosity and compassion, and to begin making sense of what has shaped you.

Working with Dr Basile

How I work
My way of working is integrative and tailored to your needs. Throughout the process, I draw from a wide range of theories, but at its core is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the most crucial element for effective therapy. It provides a secure base from which insight, understanding, and lasting change can emerge.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and curious. I believe strongly in the value of a co-created therapeutic relationship, where feelings and meaning can emerge safely over time. I aim to provide a secure and containing space where you feel able to explore your inner world, process difficult emotional experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships,
and your emotional world.

I am particularly interested in how early experiences shape emotional life, relationships, identity, and relational patterns. Therapy offers an opportunity to make sense of these patterns, supporting greater self-awareness and creating the possibility for meaningful psychological change.
