Welcome, I am Alison. Whether you’re facing a major life change, grieving a loss, processing past trauma, or struggling with difficult relationship dynamics, I’m here to walk alongside you. I work with individuals and couples to explore their inner world, make sense of old patterns, and support them in becoming a more authentic version of themselves. I endeavour to create a warm, grounding and compassionate space where you feel seen, heard, and deeply understood. My work is collaborative, relational and client-led, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

How I work
The therapeutic space is entirely yours to use as you wish. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough to bring the issues that are on your mind and for you to feel comfortable enough to bring all aspects of yourself.
As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I draw on different modalities to suit each client’s needs. Rooted in person-centred therapy, I believe you are the expert of your experience. I also work psychodynamically, exploring how unconscious patterns and early childhood experiences may be shaping your present. I incorporate somatic techniques to help you regulate your nervous system restoring inner balance. Where appropriate, I incorporate creative techniques such as guided imagery and art therapy.
I also work relationally, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I see therapy as a collaborative, person-to-person process that can be deeply transformative, offering a space where each individual is recognised in their uniqueness and lived experience. I have trained to work interculturally and I am mindful of how culture, identity and social context shape a person’s sense of self and relationships.
Areas of interest
My work is trauma-informed, with a particular focus on early childhood experiences such as abuse, neglect, emotionally absent or distant caregivers and the attachment patterns that can develop as a result. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout and challenges related to identity. I also support clients navigating loss, major life transitions and relationship difficulties.
