Therapy is an opportunity to unpack and explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings and relationships, in a space that is confidential, warm and non-judgmental. It’s a conversation that you cannot have elsewhere. With gentleness and intention, we will bring your history, patterns of being and ways of relating into your full awareness. From that place of awareness arises the possibility of change – of living and relating to yourself and others differently.
My intention is to walk with you in that process of becoming, of blossoming into a fuller expression of your being – in yourself, and in your relationships with others.
Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked as an actress, and then for many years as a lawyer in the public sector. During that time, I led legal teams in the Cabinet Office, in the Department for Education and in the Equality and Human Rights Commission. I am also the mother of two (almost) grown-up children.

How I work
I am a humanistic psychotherapist and counsellor. I work within an integrative framework, which means that I incorporate various therapeutic modalities into my work, depending on what best suits you and your needs.
At its heart, therapy is a conversation. Most of our work together will therefore consist of us talking – although we may also work somatically (with the body) or using creative techniques like visualization or drawing. I will listen to you with deep attention: both to your words and to what is unsaid, to what is expressed in your body and exists in the space between us. I will ask questions to help you to reflect on and process what you bring. My role is not to diagnose or interpret you. But together we will explore your past and your present, identifying your patterns of thought, of behaviour, of relating. We will uncover insights and develop skills, forming the basis for meaningful change.
I know that starting therapy can be daunting. I therefore offer a free 20-minute introductory call, in which you can let me know your reasons for thinking about coming to therapy, and we can talk about how we might work together. You can then decide whether to move forward with the therapy.
Areas of particular interest and experience
I work particularly with anxiety, depression, ‘stuckness’, confidence and self-esteem; trauma (including childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence); bereavement and loss; relationships (including love, sex, intimacy); and existential concerns (life, death, meaning and purpose).
I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, having completed a four-year training programme in humanistic psychotherapy at HOMA in London. I am an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for good practice.
I am committed to providing a space that is inclusive and respectful of all, regardless of background, body, race, religion, sexuality or gender-identity.
Fees
My fee is £75 per 50-minute session. I reserve some spaces for lower-cost therapy: please do contact me if you would like to discuss this.
